Grilled corn with miso butter
In the US a BBQ isn't complete without grilled corn. Time to make this a tradition in Belgium as well! For this recipe I decided not to go for traditional American flavors but instead opted for an Asian touch with an easy miso butter. I prefer to grill the corn as a whole and to peel it afterwards. You do get less of the grilled flavor, but instead the corn can steam in its own jacket whilst keeping its juices inside. You can ofcourse put the peeled corn directly on the grill for a more grilled flavor, but do adjust the grill time of this recipe and be careful that the corn doesn't dry out.
- 1 corn cob
- 1 tablespoon of miso paste (use a bit less if using dark miso paste instead of white)
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- Step 1 Turn on the BBQ.
- Step 2 Put the corn on the BBQ and grill on a gentle heat for approximately 20 minutes.
- Step 3 Mix the miso paste with the butter.
- Step 4 Peel the corn and coat the hot corn with the miso butter.
